- A pretty small book around 70 pages which one of my sir recommended, read it on a flight to Malaysia.
- Its a conversation between old friends who met at a get together, and were having a boring conversation, when one guy told this story.
- In summary, there are 2 mice and 2 humans, and both are in search of cheese. They are very happy after they find it. But when the cheese is moved,
- The mice adapt to the change and go in search again, without thinking on the reason, and after some struggle they find even bigger cheese.
- While the humans, start questioning everything, and dont believe it, they start finding the cheese in the same place and dont want to go in search of different place as they found this after a lot of struggle, days go by and they go to the same place to search.
- After few days one of the human, questions his decisions and decides to go in search of new cheese, but his friend being stubborn doesn’t believe in tha plan.
- He leaves for search regardless, leaves a lot of clues and messages for his friend, and later he finds the bigger cheese, where he finds the mice. He realises he was stupid to not start it before, and spent so much time to overthinking and not changing.
- This kindof shows the human tendency to overthink, and not adapting to change, the more we think the worse the situation gets
