A small little book, found this in my college’s library
-
It has around 21 chapters and it focuses on different principles and rules
-
Eat that frog, here the frog symbolizes work/task, and the author puts a lot of analogies throughout the book
- When you have a bunch of frogs to eat, eat the ugliest frog first. it means do the toughest and the most effort requiring task first, because once you do it the other tasks feels trivial, as you have already eaten the ugliest frog.
- Really liked this way of thinking, and I use it in my daily life as well.
- The 80/20 rule, which means that 20% of the effort results in 80% of the work. it’s like, when you have multiple tasks, pick that 20% of tasks which has the most impact on you. Basically meaning to create priorities.
- Also in some cases, 20% of your assets results in 80% of your revenue, you cant find an equal split there.
-
The most of the books focuses around getting your work done, by using different kinds of methods, to help you prioritize and eat that frog.
-
Would I read it again? Maybe yes, its a quick read.
-
Would I recommend this book? Yes, if you struggle getting things done.
